Acquisition of Envelope Production Company Further Advances Expansion of Waukesha Based Marketing Execution Company.

Waukesha, WI, January 25, 2021—Over the last decade, The Marek Group has made great strides towards their long-established vision to be a leader in the marketing execution industry with several key acquisitions that have expanded their services portfolio. In their latest venture, The Marek Group has acquired the Mequon, WI based envelope printing company Ecker Envelope, Inc. which will allow them to offer their clients shortened speed-to-market, reduced costs, and enhanced end-to-end quality control on direct mail marketing campaigns.  

For the last 20 years, Ecker Envelope, Inc. has been a reputable niche producer of high-quality envelopes for Midwestern businesses. Their exclusive cutting-edge, high-speed envelop printing equipment makes them uniquely qualified to produce an extensive range of custom envelopes with exceptional precision and speed at much lower prices than the industry standard. 

Scott Ecker, CEO of Ecker Envelope, Inc. expressed great pleasure and optimism when discussing the acquisition, stating, “The Marek Group was a perfect fit for us and—most importantly—our customers. Prior to the acquisition, Ecker had been a trusted supplier for The Marek Group’s direct mail business for many years. The acquisition of Ecker was a strategic move, intended to close the loop on The Marek Group’s ability to provide end-to-end in-house production on all ranges of direct mail campaigns. From small, highly targeted campaigns to large scale, national mailings The Marek Group will now have the capability to execute their clients initiatives, from start to finish, through completely internal sources—driving down turnaround times and all-in costs for clients.  

When asked what excited him most about this new acquisition, CEO of The Marek Group, Fuzzy Marek replied, “Finally having complete end-to-end control of the entire direct mail lifecycle. From upfront data management to postal optimization and distribution, this is a huge benefit to our clients. This acquisition along with our investment in several new smart, high-speed inserting machines has drastically increased our direct mail capacity, and, ultimately, improved our ability to serve our combined client base. 

Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020, the family-owned company has been dedicated to keeping the negative impact on their employees and surrounding communities to a minimum. The Marek Group has proudly produced personal protective equipment (PPE) and other critical supplies for frontline workers, reopening businesses, and schools as well as hundreds of job opportunities for those effected by pandemic closures and furloughs. The Marek Group views this acquisition as another opportunity to fight the fallout of the pandemic. As such, they will be retaining all existing Ecker employees and expect to have the capacity to offer even more job opportunities soon 

New services, including 1-4 color envelopes, are available to Marek customers effective immediately. However, the migration of Ecker operations to the Marek Production facility will take place over the next 90 days to ensure a smooth, yet efficient transition.
